monkeyJam

01/30/08 - Not dead yet!!!!!

To everyone who has been looking for us the last couple of weeks, we're back! The server got mugged and had to be retired. -Moment of silence- So..doesn't the new one look spiffy? I know it's been a looooong time since I last posted any news so let me announce a couple of things.

First, yes, MonkeyJam is still being worked on. I will get an update up as soon as I have something stable and life allows (ie. March?). It should include onionskinning among other updates ;)

Yes, I am still interested in working with translators but need to get a few MonkeyJam things in order before they can start work. If you have contacted me about helping prepare a translation, I will be contacting you in the next month or so.

Do I ever answer my email.....well I'm trying to be better about it, but it hasn't been a great way to provide support. I'm looking at setting up a support forum so that everyone can benefit from questions that have been answered. Look for that in the next month or so.

Thanks to everyone who has sent words of encouragement/support, especially those who tracked me down over the last couple of weeks to find out if MonkeyJam was gone for good. Never fear it's alive and growing, in fact in fact MonkeyJam hit it's 100,000'th download in November! That's a lot of animators!

Happy animating!

Translators wanted!
Yes, MonkeyJam is going international and now supports translations for languages that use the Latin-1 character set. All I need are people to do the translation (four years of Latin and I'm only fluent in English). If you are fluent in English and a language that uses the Latin-1 character set and would like to donate your time please get in touch. Experience with animation terminology in both languages would be helpful.

Support MonkeyJam!
Donations help me find the resources and the time to make MonkeyJam better. They also help my wife understand why I spend late nights at the computer. If you are an individual and use MonkeyJam on a regular basis or are a company or school and use MonkeyJam please consider making a donation. Any donations, large or small are greatly appreciated and help fund the continued development and support of MonkeyJam.

Thanks again for all your support. Happy animating!
